Tom Kovic
Tom Kovic is founder and director of Victory Collegiate Consulting.VCC is an educational service that assists parents, coaches and athletes in proactive preparation for the college athletics recruiting process. Tom consults with individual families in developing and executing personal plans for the college quest. In addition, Kovic has delivered nearly 100 presentations and seminars to over 2500 participants since launching VCC in 2006. He most recently presented on college athletics recruiting at The 2008 US Lacrosse National Convention in Philadelphia and will be presenting at the National Lacrosse Convention in Toronto in February, 2008. Tom is the author of Reaching for Excellence an educational guide for college athletics recruiting. In addition, he is a monthly contributor to The Courier Times (New Jersey) and Raising Champions (Villanova, PA) in the areas of college recruitment and youth leadership. He is an active member of USA Gymnastics, The National Association for College Admission Counseling, The Western Association for College Admissions Counseling and US Lacrosse. In 19 seasons as head coach of Gymnastics at The University of Pennsylvania, Tom Kovic led the Quakers to 8 Ivy League Team Championships ('91. '92, '94, 97, '98, '99, '00, '04) and 2 Eastern Conference Team Titles ('98, '04). To date, Penn Gymnastics is the only Ivy League team to win four consecutive Ivy team titles as well as the only Ivy program to win the ECAC Team Championship. Subsequently, Coach Kovic was named ECAC coach of the year twice ('94, '97) while being honored as NCAA regional coach of the year in 2004. Tom Kovic coached 34 individual Ivy League Champions, 8 ECAC Champions, 4 NCAA and 3 ECAC athletes of the year as well as over 160 NCAA Academic All-Americans.
